    Job Summary:

    The Data Protection Product Management Specialist within Data Protection Services provides technical support for globally aligned backup and recovery activities.  The role maintains the stability of  data backup management products along with retention infrastructure globally and is expected to maintain Tape/Disk backup Systems, including connectivity to technical assets such as servers, storage and tape devices aligned to same.  The role is expected to administer and manage backup job activity and respond to failed backup jobs using various monitoring and screening tools. Further, the role is expected to monitor tape devices and perform maintenance activities such as those aligned to setup, configuration and upgrades as required by the region.   

    The role performs various tasks and activities in support of data backup and recovery using Veritas NetBackup and Veeam backup recovery service suites.  The role manages backup, recovery and supports performance management and data integrity activities in accordance with EY compliance mandates and regional or local country directives.  The role is managed by the Data Protection core product management & Escalation Lead.

    Responsibilities:

    Provides technical support for globally aligned backup and recovery activities.

    Maintains the stability of data backup management products along with retention infrastructure globally, Tape/Disk backup Systems and connectivity to technical assets (servers, storage and tape devices.

    Administer and manage backup job activity and respond to failed backup jobs using various monitoring and screening tools.

    Performs various tasks and activities in support of data backup and recovery

    Experience required: 

    3 to 5 years in technology infrastructure management and operations

    Data protection, data backup and security maintenance

    Veeam backup recovery service suites

    International companies with huge demand

    Tools to record incidents and remediation (Service Now, nice to have)

    Foundational skills in such applications as Netbackup, Windows, Unix/Linux platforms

    Knowledge of Data Domains and Data Deduplication products

    Basic understanding of ITIL

    Excellent oral and written English language
