Data Modeler

The ideal candidate is an experienced Data Modeler, humble and eager to learn and collaborate in small teams. You will design, implement, and documents data architecture and data modeling solutions, which include the use of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases. These solutions support enterprise information management, business intelligence, machine learning and data science. You should excel in working remotely and have outstanding communication skills (Transparency is one of our core values).

Responsibilities

  • Work with business and app/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models
  • Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models
  • Hands-on modeling, design, configuration, installation, performance tuning
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, weekly demos and such
  • Communicate your daily commitments

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience (Erwin / ER Studio / Enterprise Architect / MS Visio)
  • Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, ETL
  • Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Data modeling and Database principles (relational and non-relational)
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum ceremonies
  • You are passionate about good engineering practices and testing
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and communicate daily/weekly goals
  • You like to learn, are curious, humble and like to get things done

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Erwin Evolve
  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g: Azure / AWS / GCP).
  • Experience with ETL, data ingestion protocols, integration projects/tools such as Azure Data Factory, Talend, Databricks, Data Lake
  • Experience with data warehouse and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts
