ID 1639 – Machine Learning Engineering Lead

We are looking for a talented machine learning engineer and leader with a strong technical background and who are looking for an opportunity to have a huge impact and be part of a growing team in a fast-moving, exciting, and entrepreneurial space. Candidates should have experience leading a team and be comfortable with the whole range of machine learning engineering – including strong analysis, technical project management background and experience interviewing, mentoring, managing.

What You’ll Do Here:
● Ensure Delivery and Team Success
○ Drive Projects (demos and releases) to Completion – High Quality and Timeliness
○ Constant adaptation to the requirements of the business – collaborative and flexible
○ Aggressively working to clear blockers and support the team including cross-team coordination and rolling up the sleeves to clear key blockers yourself
○ Driving high-standards for analysis, code quality
○ Supporting the push for timely, high performance demos and production releases
○ Known track record of taking research initiatives to production with proven success

● People Management
○ Ensuring team productivity and utilization – within the team and across the company
○ Be actively involved in recruiting and team building
○ Be actively involved in performance management and providing performance feedbackto the team

● Machine Learning Technical Analysis
○ Ensure understanding of the end-goals of the business, priorities, and requirements
○ Ensuring architecture and technical design is well-aligned with long-term goals
○ Ensure implicit requirements of performance, scalability, flexibility are accounted for
○ Setting goals and definitions of POCs, features
○ Suggestion for, utilization and incorporation of new technologies

● Hands-on Support and Participating in Key Stories/Tasks Where Most Needed. E.g.
○ Analysis
○ Code Reviews
○ Framework/scaffolding development
○ Data pipelines – data generation
○ Tool development

● Technical
○ Strong technical background – degree in Computer Science or similar field
○ Strong hands-on machine learning experience
○ Strong architecture, development experience
○ Strong experience bringing models to production
○ Strong experience managing data and data pipelines
○ Must have at least 10 years of experience in a product company, ideally SAAS ML
○ Excellent analysis capabilities to take ambiguous problems from coExperience We’re
