    The company is growing their system administration team and is looking to hire a System Administrator (full-time) to start as soon as possible at their headquarters in Dresden. He/she will take on responsibility for independently deploying, monitoring, maintaining and upgrading computer servers and software systems, including network servers and any operating system or application software.

    Key areas of responsibility

    • administration, maintenance, management, and ongoing technical support of multi-site servers and desktop systems
    • implementation of changes to the system environment, including hardware, configuration and external vendor management
    • technical support to staff worldwide
    • performance analysis and optimization
    • system capacity planning
    • creation and maintenance of system and software documentation
    • regular work-related travel activity

    Required skills and experience

    • degree in IT or similar education, as well as experience with system administration
    • advanced skills and experience working with servers and operating systems (Windows, Linux, OSX/iOS, Android)
    • excellent spoken and written English
    • superior understanding of and know-how working with network technologies
    • friendly, service- and customer-oriented working style

    Further desired skills and experiences

    • suitable industry certification
    • skills in scripting for system administration or maintenance
    • experience working with Nagios, Android-based devices, VoIP systems (asterisk-based phones)
    • administration & maintenance of Proxmox VE & CEPH infrastructures
